It's been a week now...
No more pain but a disgusting part came to my attention in past few days...
Firstly, The extraction site actually is deeper than I thought when I used touch light to flash my mouth/mirror 2 days ago...Darn!
and the most troubling part is - IT'S SMELL like a rotten flesh. (that's why I wanna see what's going on in my mouth).
So, yesterday morning, I went to the dentist and ask him about this...and thankfully, he said, it's normal as the wound have not fully recover yet and mouth is the very dirty place for those bacteria to grow and affect the extraction site but if your body is strong, your body will win over those bacteria and heal the site.
"OKey! then how! Listerine-ing every few hours or feel disgusting?" I asked
"Yes! It helps and also chew with your other sides of molar tooth." the dentist replied confidently
"Okey! for how long?" I asked eagerly as I can't really stand the smell.
"A week, It will get better day by day. And...don't worry about it, it will be fine." the dentist started to loose his patient.
"OKey! I trust you! That means the "hole" will fill itself" I don't care and asked again.
"Yes! Just don't worry too much about it" the dentist moved his way to call for the next patient.
Hence, I thanked the dentist and left the place.
Yesterday after work, I'm in front of my PC and a soon after I feel the "smell" (or maybe taste the smell! how a smell can be taste and feel but not smell? A weird feeling), a thought sparked me to get some research on the"tooth extraction after care".
Yes! a lot of idea from the www. Warm Saline Water, Warm Tea and even just plain water will do the trick to make the "smell" gone or weaken it and the interesting one is using sterile gauze to put on the extraction site to kill the bacteria and keep the site clean. That means speedy recovery. I want it!
Hmmm! Good idea, later will go to ask from the pharmacy. Hope they will have it.
It's really a sickening experience and I just hope it will be the last wisdom teeth I have to extract out (actually, there are 2 more at the upper ends and thankfully, they didn't give me any problem (yet)).
What I am worry the most now is not the the site can't heal itself, it's whether it can fill the hole up!
Anyway, let's see how it goes!
Next week will have a vacation in KL. Hope I will get better by then...
p/s: It's fast, half of the January 08 is gone. Feeling the joys of Spring!
